After breakfast, we'll meet our local guide and set off to discover the magnificent Royal Palace of Madrid,  Europe's largest inhabited palace. Even though the Spanish Royal Family doesn't reside here, it remains their official residence. Construction wrapped up in 1764, and when Carlos III finally moved in, the palace featured a staggering 135,000 square meters, 3,418 rooms, 870 windows, 240 balconies, and an astonishing 44 staircases!  Today, the palace plays a vital role, hosting state ceremonies that fill its halls with life and importance.

After our palace adventure, lunch will be on your own, giving you the freedom to explore the flavors of Madrid at your own pace. The afternoon is yours to wander the city and soak in its unique atmosphere, perfect for art lovers, and foodies.

Tonight, we'll reunite for an unforgettable evening of dinner and flamenco in the heart of Madrid! Treat all your senses to Spanish culture at the legendary Torres Bermejas, a famous tablao where some of flamenco's greatest stars have performed. Your spot is reserved, so you can relax and enjoy a passionate live performance paired with a delicious selection of tapas inspired by classic Spanish cuisine. This is the perfect way to wrap up your day—immersed in the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of Spain!

Day Four: Saturday, July 31, 2027: Journey from Seville to the Majestic Alhambra (B)

Known as the backdrop for the legendary Thousand and One Nights, the Alhambra’s courtyards and rooms have inspired countless tales, including those penned by American writer Washington Irving. Prepare to be captivated by the history and intricate Moorish architecture of this iconic palace complex—a once-fortified city that housed over two thousand inhabitants and served as the royal court of the Nasrid kingdom. Perched high on the Sabika hill, today, its lofty vantage point offers breathtaking views of the Sacromonte caves, the Albaicín district, and the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada. No visit is complete without exploring the stunning contrasts between the Nasrid Palace, with its exquisite Islamic artistry, and the Renaissance grandeur of the Palace of Charles V. Each palace represents a unique chapter in the Alhambra’s history, offering a fascinating blend of cultures and architectural styles. Our tour concludes at the Generalife gardens, once the sultans’ summer retreat. Returning to Seville, the rest of the day and evening is on your own.

After an early breakfast, we'll set out for the beautiful southern city of Tarifa, located at the very tip of the Spanish Peninsula. Today is an especially exciting day, as we’ll have the rare chance to witness the “eclipse of the century”—a total solar eclipse lasting approximately 4 minutes and 39 seconds, with the total phase peaking at 10:45 a.m. You won’t want to miss this breathtaking phenomenon, where the moon completely covers the sun, casting Tarifa into a magical midday twilight.

But Tarifa has so much more to offer beyond its celestial wonders! With its rich history dating back to the 10th century under Abd-al-Rahman III, the city boasts a historic quarter filled with winding, narrow streets that reflect its remarkable Arab heritage. Take time to explore landmarks such as the imposing caliph castle, the enchanting Gothic-Mudejar chapel of Santiago, the convent of San Francisco, and the beautiful churches of Santa María
and San Mateo. After enjoying lunch on your own and soaking in all that Tarifa has to offer, we’ll make our way back to Málaga, where you’ll have the rest of the day and evening to relax or continue your adventures at your own pace.
