After breakfast, we bid farewell to Seville and set our sights on the sun-soaked coast of southern Spain—Malaga! Known as the sparkling capital of the Costa del Sol, Malaga is famous for its golden beaches, ancient Moorish castles, and fascinating Roman ruins. Affectionately called the "City of Museums," Malaga is also the proud birthplace of Pablo Picasso. Upon arrival, we’ll meet our local guide and step back in time as we tour the awe-inspiring Roman Amphitheatre, the impressive Alcazaba fortress from the 11th century, and the lively Old Town, with its colorful buildings, winding cobblestone streets, and centuries-old churches. After some free time for lunch, the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore this enchanting port city at your own pace. As the sun sets, we’ll gather for a delightful dinner at a local restaurant, sharing stories and savoring the flavors of Malaga.
Welcome to Madrid! Madrid is more than just a European capital—it’s a lively city full of culture and flavor. Art lovers will be amazed by the famous Golden Triangle of Art, home to the Prado, Reina Sofía, and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums. Whether you love Goya or Picasso, you’ll find unforgettable masterpieces here. Foodies will also be in paradise, with tasty tapas bars, lively markets like San Miguel, and delicious Spanish dishes everywhere you look. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day and evening is on your own to explore this fascinating city.
Day Two: Thursday, July 29, 2027: Madrid, Spain (B), (D)
After breakfast, we'll meet our local guide and set off to discover the magnificent Royal Palace of Madrid, Europe's largest inhabited palace. Even though the Spanish Royal Family doesn't reside here, it remains their official residence. Construction wrapped up in 1764, and when Carlos III finally moved in, the palace featured a staggering 135,000 square meters, 3,418 rooms, 870 windows, 240 balconies, and an astonishing 44 staircases! Today, the palace plays a vital role, hosting state ceremonies that fill its halls with life and importance.
After our palace adventure, lunch will be on your own, giving you the freedom to explore the flavors of Madrid at your own pace. The afternoon is yours to wander the city and soak in its unique atmosphere, perfect for art lovers, and foodies.
Tonight, we'll reunite for an unforgettable evening of dinner and flamenco in the heart of Madrid! Treat all your senses to Spanish culture at the legendary Torres Bermejas, a famous tablao where some of flamenco's greatest stars have performed. Your spot is reserved, so you can relax and enjoy a passionate live performance paired with a delicious selection of tapas inspired by classic Spanish cuisine. This is the perfect way to wrap up your day—immersed in the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of Spain!
Day Three: Friday, July 30, 2027: Madrid - Seville (B), (D)
Today we say goodbye to Madrid and head to the city of Seville. Known for its rich history and lively culture, Seville is a feast for the senses—think Moorish and Christian architecture, exciting flamenco shows, and mouthwatering tapas at every corner. Upon arrival, we’ll meet our friendly local guide who will show us two of Seville’s absolute must-sees: the breathtaking Royal Alcázar, Europe's oldest royal palace, and the awe-inspiring Seville Cathedral with its iconic Giralda tower. Afterward, we’ll have time to settle into our hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your own pace. To cap off this wonderful day, we’ll gather together for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant—perfect for sharing stories and new memories!
Day Four: Saturday, July 31, 2027: Journey from Seville to the Majestic Alhambra (B)
After breakfast, we set off on a day trip to the Alhambra in Granada. Known as the backdrop for the legendary Thousand and One Nights, the Alhambra’s courtyards and rooms have inspired countless tales, including those penned by American writer Washington Irving. Prepare to be captivated by the history and intricate Moorish architecture of this iconic palace complex—a once-fortified city that housed over two thousand inhabitants and served as the royal court of the Nasrid kingdom. Perched high on the Sabika hill, today, its lofty vantage point offers breathtaking views of the Sacromonte caves, the Albaicín district, and the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada. No visit is complete without exploring the stunning contrasts between the Nasrid Palace, with its exquisite Islamic artistry, and the Renaissance grandeur of the Palace of Charles V. Each palace represents a unique chapter in the Alhambra’s history, offering a fascinating blend of cultures and architectural styles. Our tour concludes at the Generalife gardens, once the sultans’ summer retreat. Returning to Seville, the rest of the day and evening is on your own.
Day 5: Sunday, August 1, 2027: Seville - Malaga (B) (D)
Day 6: Monday, August 2, 2027: Eclipse Day! Tarifa, Malaga (B)
After an early breakfast, we'll set out for the beautiful southern city of Tarifa, located at the very tip of the Spanish Peninsula. Today is an especially exciting day, as we’ll have the rare chance to witness the “eclipse of the century”—a total solar eclipse lasting approximately 4 minutes and 39 seconds, with the total phase peaking at 10:45 a.m. You won’t want to miss this breathtaking phenomenon, where the moon completely covers the sun, casting Tarifa into a magical midday twilight.
But Tarifa has so much more to offer beyond its celestial wonders! With its rich history dating back to the 10th century under Abd-al-Rahman III, the city boasts a historic quarter filled with winding, narrow streets that reflect its remarkable Arab heritage. Take time to explore landmarks such as the imposing caliph castle, the enchanting Gothic-Mudejar chapel of Santiago, the convent of San Francisco, and the beautiful churches of Santa María
Day 7: Tuesday, August 3, 2027: Cadiz - Seville (B) (D)
Today, we bid farewell to beautiful Malaga and set out for one of Europe’s oldest, continuously inhabited gems—Cadiz! Founded by the Phoenicians around 100 B.C., Cadiz is a city bursting with history and charm. Once we arrive, our local guide will lead us on a fascinating tour, including the impressive Roman Theatre, the breathtaking golden domed Cadiz Cathedral, the ancient walls of San Carlos, and the vibrant Plaza España, right in the heart of the old town. There will be plenty of time to enjoy lunch at your leisure and stroll through the city’s enchanting narrow lanes or relax along its palm-lined promenades.
Leaving Cadiz, we head to Seville where we will check into our hotel and have a chance to freshen up. To top off our memorable final day, we’ll gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant in Seville, sharing stories and celebrating our adventures together!
Day 8: Wednesday, August 4, 2027: Homeward Bound
After breakfast, we’ll make our way to the airport, our hearts full of magical memories from sunny Spain. From the warm hospitality to the breathtaking sights—and, of course, witnessing the eclipse of the century—it’s an experience we’ll cherish for years to come. As we say “adiós” to this beautiful country, let’s carry those unforgettable moments with us, ready to share our stories and smiles back home..
